    The obligation of health insurance remains and, at the request of the border authorities, the presentation of means of subsistence (eg: surety)

    Starting from11 June 2017 Ukrainian citizens who intend to enter the countries of the Schengen Area are exempted from the visa requirement short-lived (up to 90 days).
    You need to have the new biometric passport.

    The Ukrainian citizen will in any case have to prove that he / she possesses the requisites provided for by the directive of the Ministry of the Interior relating to means of subsistence, or:

    • demonstration of hotel accommodation or accommodation declaration (ex invitation letter)
    • Schengen health insurance worth 30,000 euros
    • demonstration of economic means of support or bank or insurance guarantee
    • return flight ticket with return date not exceeding 90 days from the date of entry into the Schengen Area

    The originals of this documentation can be requested by the customs of the country of entry into the Schengen Area; they are not normally requested at the departure airport.
